Mercedes-Benz has recently introduced the global unveiling of the new CLE Coupe, which is set to replace both the C-Class and E-Class Coupes. This luxury vehicle is also expected to arrive in the Indian market, bringing with it a host of exciting features. Here is what you can expect from the upcoming Mercedes-Benz CLE Coupe.
DESIGN AND STYLING OF THE MERCEDES-BENZ CLE COUPE
The 2024 Mercedes CLE Coupe showcases a fusion of design elements from the C-Class and E-Class Coupes. Its sleek profile gfoes by slim LED headlamps, a trapezoidal grille, and full LED tail lamps connected by a dark red accent. With short overhangs, large wheel arches, and a sloping boot lid, the CLE Coupe exudes a sporty appearance. The dimensions of the vehicle measure 4,850mm in length, 1,860mm in width, 1,428mm in height, and it boasts a wheelbase of 2,865mm.
INTERIOR FEATURES OF THE 2024 MERCEDES-BENZ CLE COUPE
Inside the new CLE Coupe, you can expect a modern interior featuring a prominent 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and an 11.9-inch vertically positioned touch screen infotainment system at the centre. Equipped with the latest user interface and advanced connectivity features, the Coupe offers a luxurious and technologically advanced experience. The four-seater configuration includes integrated headrests and four-way lumbar support functions. Additionally, it comes standard with a 17-speaker Burmester surround sound system with Dolby Atmos. Optional features include seat ventilation and a seven-zone massage function.
POWERTRAIN OPTIONS FOR THE MERCEDES-BENZ CLE COUPE
The 2024 CLE Coupe will offer a range of engine options globally. This includes both petrol and diesel variants with four-cylinder and six-cylinder configurations, available in rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The entry-level CLE 200d comes with a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder diesel engine producing 194bhp and 441Nm of torque. The petrol version, CLE 200, features a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine generating 201bhp and 320Nm of torque, powering the rear wheels. There is also a CLE 300 4MATIC with the same petrol engine but tuned to deliver 255bhp and 400Nm of torque. All engines comes with a 48V mild-hybrid system, providing an additional 23bhp of power. The top-spec CLE 450 4MATIC boasts a 3.0-liter, six-cylinder turbocharged unit generating 370bhp and 500Nm of torque. With a nine-speed automatic transmission, this Coupe accelerates from zero to 100kmph in just 4.4 seconds, with a top speed of 249kmph.
EXPECTED LAUNCH TIMELINE FOR THE MERCEDES-BENZ CLE COUPE IN INDIA
The Mercedes-Benz CLE Coupe is scheduled for an early 2024 launch in the United States. It is expected to arrive in the Indian market around the same time. It will face competition from other luxury coupes like the BMW 4 Series. Official pricing has not been announced yet.
