This date marks the momentous occasion when Chandrayaan, India's lunar mission, executed a soft landing on the moon. Additionally, PM Modi designated the landing site of the Vikram lander on the lunar surface as the 'Shiv Shakti' point.

India achieved a historic milestone on Wednesday as the Vikram lander of Chandrayaan-3 successfully touched down on the unexplored South Pole of the Moon, marking a groundbreaking global achievement.

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is gearing up to embark on a journey to study the Sun, following the recent Chandrayaan-3 endeavour. Aditya L1, a pioneering Indian space mission, will study the sun. The spacecraft will be strategically placed in a halo orbit around Lagrange Point 1 (L1) within the Sun-Earth system, approximately 1.5 million km away from Earth.

The mission aims to demonstrate India's capability in safe landing, rover exploration, and in-situ scientific experiments on the lunar surface. The spacecraft will utilize the Launch Vehicle Mark-3 developed by ISRO.
