The official release date poster reveals Anushka in a fierce look, donning a black saree and wielding a gun. Blood marks scatter her body as she stares intensely, signaling a violent and action-packed storyline related to Ghaati. The caption accompanying the poster read:
“The Queen, at her best, will reign at the box office. #Ghaati GRAND RELEASE WORLDWIDE ON 18th APRIL, 2025.”
This role marks a drastic departure from her previous characters. It promises an intense and gritty portrayal of the titular role, Ghaati.

Additionally to Ghaati, Anushka Shetty is preparing for her Malayalam debut. She will star in the much-awaited film Kathanar – The Wild Sorcerer, directed by Rojin Thomas.
In Kathanar, Anushka plays Nila, a weaver, alongside lead actor Jayasurya Jayan. The teaser was released on her birthday. It introduced Nila through a visually intriguing sequence. The sequence revealed her weaving threads. This served as a metaphorical introduction to the magical elements of the film.
