GENDER AND RELIGION
Women are more likely than men to report these interactions. Individuals with moderate religious affiliation are more prone to experiencing interactions than those who are highly religious or not religious.
RELIGIOUS BACKGROUND
While over half of Catholics (66%) and historically Black Protestants (67%) have experienced interactions, the rate is lower among evangelical Protestants (42%) and unaffiliated individuals (48%). Moderately religious individuals are more likely to report these experiences compared to those with higher or lower religious commitment levels.
RECENT EXPERIENCES
In the past year, 46% of respondents have been visited by a deceased family member in a dream, while 31% have experienced interactions in other forms.
