One of the world’s finest monuments, the Taj Mahal is the most goggled landmark in the world. The monument came on top after the analysis of google key word planner.
The research done by Travel Insurance Company Columbus Direct said that people searched Taj Mahal 14,17,650 times a month. Taj Mahal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is located in Agra in India. Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan built the white marble monument for his wife Mumtaz Mahal.
The second most searched land mark is Machu Picchu. It is an archaeological site in South America and people searched 1,269,260 times a month. People from UK, Curaçao, Costa Rica, French Polynesia, Paraguay and Portugal had searched this place for the largest numbers.
Burj Khalifa in the United Arab Emirates is the third most googled landmark. It has hit 1,103,950 monthly searches. It is the tallest building in the world at 828m high. The fourth most googled place is Niagara Falls. It has hit 945,810 searches in a month. This fall borders the US and Canada. It is one of the most preferred honeymoon destinations.
Then comes the Eiffel Tower in France. It has a hit 916,270 searches a month. Stonehenge, Mount Everest, Statue of Liberty, Great Wall of China, Sagrada Familia and Mount Fuji are on the other top searched landmarks.
