After raising the Kashmir issue in the United Nations and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, Pakistan has said that the issue would be raised at the International Court of justice.
Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the decision to approach the world court was taken after all legal aspects were looked into.
He was quoted by a TV news channel. Earlier this month, India had revoked Article 370, which gave special status to Kashmir, which has irritated Pakistan. Since then, Pakistan has been raising this issue at all forums.
Qureshi said that the Law ministry would soon come out with details on the decision to approach the international Court.
Meanwhile, American president Donald trump tweeted of his telephonic conversation with both the prime ministers of India and Pakistan. In the tweet, Trump said that he has asked both the countries not to escalate tension in the region.
