The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) , the JawaharLal Nehru University (JNU) and Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) has entered into a collaboration for generating tangible evidences on fundamental principles of Ayurveda through multiomics studies.
The MoU signed also looks forward for efficacy of Ayurveda Interventions in emerging health challenges like Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease.
Minister of State for AYUSH Sripad Naik said that the new collaboration may open up new spheres of research in Ayurveda. He also said that there was a need for Translational Research in the field of Ayurveda through various interdisciplinary approaches so that the medicinal stream gets global acceptance.
He said that the collaboration would help in establishing the relevance of Ayurveda through multiomics studies and also to ensure the safety, efficacy of Ayurveda Interventions.
