Love and affection has not been lost in this world and the story of a mother- son duo scooter journey across India has once again proved it. The world came to know about the mother – son duo scooter travel after Mahindra group Chairman Anand Mahindra shared their beautiful story in the twitter.
The story is that of Dakshinmurthy Krishna Kumar of Mysuru, who quit his Bank job to travel with his 70 year old mother on his 20 year old scooter to see India. Naandi Foundation CEO Manoj Kunar had posted in twitter the story and video of Krishnakumar who wanted to take his mother to show the real beauty of India. Moved by this twitter, Anand Mahindra thanked the user for sharing the story also offered to gift Kumar a Mahindra KUV 100 NXT so he can drive his mother in a car in his next Journey.
In the Video, Kumar says that he had left his job in a bank to travel with his mother across India. Both of them have covered 20 states and almost covered 48,000 kms in 19 months. They have even travelled to Nepal, Myanmar and Bhutan.
Stating that that it was Matrhu Seva Sankalp Yatra, Kumar says in the video that he had taken his mother for this long journey as she had not stepped out of her home ever and he wanted to show her the beauty outside. He says that the Journey started on January 16, 2018.
