Master film makers always enjoy a place at the International Film Festival of India and this year 17 films come up for film lovers in this section. IFilms of Pedro Almodovar, Costa Gavras, Xavier Dolan, Lav Diaz, Dardenne Brothers, Hirokazu Koreeda, Wernor Herzog and Fatih Aki will be shown in this category during this edition of IFFI.
The IFFI at Goa will also be a venue for the world premiere of Turkish Master Semih Kaplanoglu’s film Commitment. This Turkish film has also won an Oscar entry this year. Almost all the films that are shown in this Masters category are being premiered for the first time in India.
