Mahakumbh: Two Sides Of Modern India

For a fragmented belief system, which Hinduism is supposed to be, no other religion or belief system in this world has been able to do what it has done and bring together nearly 500 million adherents to a holy venue (mahakumbh) within a period of a month. Anywhere else in the world, across all its History. The lack of street power, for which Hinduism is denigrated for, wasn't supposed to prop up such a show. But, it has.

For a fragmented belief system, which Hinduism is supposed to be, no other religion or belief system  in this world has been able to do what it has done. It has brought together nearly 500 million adherents to a holy venue (mahakumbh) within a period of a month. The lack of street power, for which Hinduism is denigrated for, wasn’t supposed to prop up such a show. But, it has.

More people have come together, be it for superficial reason, or deep ones, leaving their comfort zone and braving odds. And these would be the ones more moved by belief. The fringe and ‘not so invested’ is a multiple of that.

Those, whose belief power is based on power projection of the masses, will have noticed and it has deeply shaken them. This crowd projection is being covered by multiple viewpoints. Not by curated camera placement to seed fear. It can’t be disputed.

This is what Hinduism needed to show. The ability to hit the street for a cause. And here, it isn’t just hitting the street but travelling distances to be there to be counted on.

THE IMPRINT

It has a significant impact on the psyche of masses. Others have mapped out this imprint. They power project by masses. They move heavens to trigger it. Here, it has been triggered spontaneously.

Those who are aware of the repercussions of this understand the real challenge posed by this single event. They were building leverage by eroding the Indic identity.

Those who denigrated India’s systemic capabilities, know the inherent capability which is insurmountable externally, despite the chaos seeded the leadership.

This is a matter to Celebrate. All of those who visit will be transformed at a deep level.

But what do we have for this? Senile, deracinated, pompous lot,of which Ex- Supreme Court Justice Markandey Katju is one, denigrating this exaltive number as being mentally challenged.

This shows two sides of Modern India. The ivory tower which the deracinated have pushed themselves into and their entitled intellectual vacuousness. Another is an India which is alive from heart and is still guided by unknown currents.

The first lot will never be able to read the second lot.

The second lot shouldn’t waste any time or attention on the first!
