Kerala government always provided relief to the masses: Ministers ,

The Left Democratic Front government in Kerala disbursed Rs 1,703 crore from the Chief Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund in the last five years, State Finance Minister TM Thomas Isaac said.

The previous United Democratic Front led government had only disbursed Rs 553 crore in their period, he claimed. The minister was speaking at Thiruvananthapuram during the Santhwana Sparsam, a grievance redressal adalat to address the issues faced by the public.

Noting that the government’s first priority was to provide relief to the people, he said that the Santhwana Sparsam was a continuation of the government’s approach to provide as much relief to the people as possible. “Do not misunderstand that this is an election-oriented event,” he said.

COVID PANDEMIC 

During the Covid 19 period, the government intervened wherever the people could find relief Issac said.
