Mumbai-based ITM Institute of Hotel Management recently hosted over 450 students and gave them a lavish treat to them to celebrate the World Food Day and International Chef’s Day.
Students and acclaimed chefs prepared and served food to the children from Premdan orphanage, Kharghar, St. Catherine Orphan Home, Spark-A-Change Foundation, and Schools on Wheels, Mumbai, at the two campus – Navi Mumbai and Mumbai.
The raw materials for the preparation were provided by ITM IHM and Industry sponsorship from Vezlay Soya Chops, Veeba (Cake Mix) and Storia (Milk Based Drink).
Speaking on this occasion, Ujwala Sonawane, Associate Dean said, “I am extremely proud of our students at ITM, for showing their eagerness in preparing the meal and being a part of this noble initiative. At ITM we teach the students the Joy of Giving and create holistic development amongst students.
International Chef’s Day is celebrated each year on 20th October. This day is focused on educating kids around the world about the importance of eating healthy, promote the career of chefs and help change their local communities.
